Meringue Cookies of My Own Invention!

It took some time, and a lot of testing, but I came upon the perfect touch to making these
Meringue Cookies!
These cookies are delicious and melt right into your mouth!

1 cup of sugar
1/2 tsp cream of tarter
1 1/2 tsp almond extract
drops of food coloring to your liking
4 egg whites at room temperature

1. Preheat oven to 225 degrees
2. Beat egg whites in large bowl with electric mixer on medium speed until frothy.  Add cream of tarter and beat until soft peaks form.  Increase speed to high.  Add sugar 1 Tbs at a time, beating until it is dissolved and stiff peaks form.  Beat in extract and food color until completely blended.
3.  Drop by the teaspoons about 1 inch apart onto 2 large foil-lined baking sheets sprayed with baking spray.
4.  Bake both sheets of meringues at the same time for 45 minutes.  Turn oven off.  Let meringues stand in oven 1 hour or until cool.

*I put my batter into a piping bag and used various tips to make different fun shapes and sizes!
ENJOY!

Nobody Puts Mama In A Corner Blog has also posted about these as well, My Mama likes to show off my skills you could say, so if you want to see her post about my Meringue Cookies feel free to click here

Sinful Brownies

These brownies are to die for, but actually.

I'm sure there is an actual recipe for this but I kinda made mine up :)
I was lazy and used a brownie mix but you can use whatever brownie recipe you wnat, I prefer the hershey's recipe!

So I layered:
Brownie
Peanut Butter (it helps to melt it a little to spread easier)
Hershey's Chocolate Syrup
Brownie (this layer is optional)
Oreo's
Brownie (thin layer)
Hershey's Chocolate Syrup
Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
Reese's
Hershey's Chocolate Syrup
Brownie

...........talk about killer .... and deep dish

What I love most about it, besides it's taste, is that after baking it's not definite layers, it all mixes together as the brownie rises around the layers........ so good

I told you it was to die for.

So get creative and invent your own layers :)

Cheesecake Anybody??

I   LOVE  Cheesecake!
And this is another really simple recipe!
It's nice because it's pretty quick and is a nice and fancy dessert to bring to any get together!

So.... Here it goes!
For the Crust:
1 1/2 cups of graham cracker crumbs (from a box)
1/2 cup of sugar
5 tbs. of butter (melted)

For the Filling:
2- 8oz. packages of original cream cheese
1/2 cup of sugar
1/4 cup of brown sugar
Just a pinch or two of salt
1 3/4 tsp. of vanilla extract
2 eggs

Instructions:
Mix up graham cracker crumbs, the sugar, and the butter, and press it into a dish- whichever you prefer. Bake for 5-7 min. at 350 F. Set aside to cool.
For the filling  mix the cream cheese, sugars, salt, and vanilla, and then gradually add in the eggs- Pour into your dish.
Bake at 350 F for 35-45 min. Check it occasionally and use a toothpick to stick it in slanted in the side so you don't leave a hole, if it's still gooey leave it in longer, and check the top for browning. It's okay if it jiggles a little in the center but if it jiggles a lot, pop it back into the oven.
Once it's done chill it for at least 4 hours!

*Optional Topping: I like to whip up some whipping cream and sugar to make some homemade whipped cream. Play it by taste to add sugar to your liking and don't over whip it, just until light and fluffy.... and Delicious :)
